Shayne Johnson, MA, CCC-SLP
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist licensed in the state of Texas and nationally credentialed by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). I received a Bachelor’s degree from Portland State University in Spanish Linguistics and a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Texas at Austin, specializing in Bilingual Theory.
Language has always been a passion of mine. I began studying the Spanish language at the age of 12 and have never really stopped. In addition to my work as a bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist, I taught English at a university in Chile, became credentialed as a medical interpreter, worked as a bilingual literacy tutor for elementary-aged students, and have lived-in or traveled to over 15 countries. I know first-hand the challenges that speaking a second language can bring in personal and professional endeavors and am passionate about being a coach and mentor for those with their own unique challenges.
I live in beautiful Austin, Texas with my husband and our adorable chocolate lab, Piper.
