Frequently Asked Questions
How long does it take to change my accent?
Most clients begin to experience changes right away. The first step is to recognize the sounds that need to be worked on and take a structured approach in changing habits. Repetition is important and following up between classes (yes, homework) is vital to rapid improvement. The more committed the student is to change, the faster the change in habits takes place. Generally, clients can expect major advances in 12 weeks or about 90 days.

Do I have to commit to all twelve weeks of training?
Generally, twelve weeks is the optimum amount of time required to complete training for the best results; however, each training session is individualized depending on personal goals and amount of target sounds needed to be worked on. I am certified under the Compton PESL method of accent reduction which follows a week-by-week protocol. In order for you to achieve the best results, the teacher and student must both be committed.
